The District established The Manny Reyes Memorial Mentor Award to recognize one member who exceptionally empowers, encourages, and enthusiastically supports the growth of their protégé to honor the positive influence Manny’s guidance had on many members. 

The Manny Reyes Memorial Mentor Award recognizes a Toastmaster who exemplifies continuous
dedication and unwavering commitment to the district and its members. Named in honor of Manny Reyes,
whose Toastmasters journey was defined by consistent service, leadership, and mentorship, this award
celebrates members who go above and beyond in supporting the growth and success of others.

Purpose:
To honor a member who demonstrates the same steadfast commitment to District 83 and its Toastmasters
community that Manny Reyes embodied throughout his service. The recipient is someone whose dedication is
continuous, inspiring members, club officers, and district leaders alike.

Eligibility:
Any member of District 83 who has consistently contributed to the success of clubs, leaders, and members,
demonstrating reliability, service, and a commitment to the Toastmasters mission.

Criteria for consideration may include:

• A proven history of ongoing support for the district and its programs
•  Mentoring and encouraging fellow members and club leaders
• Demonstrating consistent leadership, service, and engagement beyond individual achievements
• Embodying dedication, integrity, and the spirit of Toastmasters in every aspect of service 

Nomination process:

• Members may be nominated by peers, club officers, or district leaders
• A district selection committee reviews nominations to identify a member whose commitment reflects
  the legacy of Manny Reyes
• One member will be recognized annually with the Manny Reyes Memorial Mentor Award

Recognition:
The recipient will be honored at the District 83 Hail and Farewell, receiving a certificate, trophy, or plaque and
public acknowledgment for their exemplary, continuous service to the district and its members.
This award celebrates those who help District 83 and its members progress through sustained dedication,
service, and leadership.
