Choosing a Path from Toastmasters Pathways

The Question:

I just joined Toastmasters. How do I choose one out of the 6 available paths?

I have completed one or more paths already. How do I find my next path with projects I haven’t completed before?

Option 1:

Start at the Pathways Learning Experience – Choose a Path page.

Select your preferred language and click on the option to take a brief online assessment to suggest learning paths based on your goals. You don’t have to settle for a path yet. Proceed to Option 2 as well.

Option 2:

Want to know a secret? Between the projects of Level 1, select projects from Level 2, the electives of Levels 3, 4, and 5, and the ‘Reflect on your Path’ projects at the end of Level 5, you can see that a good many projects are common to all paths!

What makes each path unique? It’s primarily the required projects in Levels 3, 4, and 5. If you like those projects, you have found your path. Here are the required projects that primarily define each path.

One other thing …

Did you know that Toastmasters is about much more than just public speaking? The Toastmasters Pathways learning experience was developed around the five core competencies:

You can choose your path based on the competencies you would like to work on. The competencies covered by each of the available paths (including legacy paths) are:

What path did you choose?

“Followed the instructions here and found the path of my dreams”

“Just chose a path at random. All of them sound exciting”

“Chose all the available paths since there are unique projects in every path!”

All great choices! Enjoy your path and maybe let us know how you like it.
